TechFlow reports that Coinbase has announced customers can now use its wallet to send funds via links through messaging apps such as WhatsApp, iMessage, and Telegram—joining social media platforms like Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram—provided both the sender and recipient have downloaded the Coinbase Wallet.
The company stated that if someone receives a link but does not yet have a Coinbase digital wallet, they will be directed to download the app from the Apple or Android app stores. If the funds are sent but not claimed within two weeks, the money will automatically be refunded to the sender.
