Franklin Templeton is an asset management firm with $1.3 trillion in assets under management. Last September, it filed an application for a Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), which has not yet been approved. Johnson considers a spot Bitcoin ETF to be a better way to invest in Bitcoin.
