TechFlow reported that Kelvin Koh, Managing Partner of Spartan Group, revealed they discovered a major centralized crypto exchange had leaked their short position information to certain industry contacts during trading activities.
He stated this constitutes a serious breach of client confidentiality, and as a result, they will cease all trading operations on this exchange.
Kelvin Koh added that what makes this incident particularly alarming is how easily the information was shared. If any random employee at the exchange can access clients' trading positions and share them with third parties, it indicates the exchange lacks proper control measures. He emphasized that this exchange is one of the largest centralized exchanges and called for stricter regulation of centralized exchanges.
