TechFlow news: Dan Robinson, research lead at Paradigm, posted on X stating that Blast's launch has "crossed the line in both messaging and execution." He disagreed with decisions such as launching the bridge before the L2 network and imposing a three-month withdrawal ban, arguing that this sets a poor precedent for other projects.
At the same time, numerous marketing activities have devalued the work of this otherwise serious team. Paradigm has communicated its concerns to the Blast team, but "there remain significant disagreements." Robinson added, "We do not support this strategy and take seriously our responsibilities within the ecosystem."
Nonetheless, Robinson praised Blast founder Pacman, saying that while working with Pacman and his co-founder on Blend, he "personally witnessed their exceptional technical abilities" and still believes they are world-class builders capable of delivering an L2 that brings value to the ecosystem.
Pacman noted that Paradigm requested modifications to the protocol after launch. While these suggestions are under consideration, the final decisions ultimately rest with the Blast team.
