TechFlow news, according to Cointelegraph, AzukiDAO has announced it is rebranding as "Bean" and has dropped its lawsuit against Azuki founder Zagabond over the $39 million minting incident. Azuki developers stated the DAO will be renamed as a memecoin project and become part of the Ethereum Layer 2 Blast ecosystem. Developers also claimed Bean has raised $10 million from "well-known investors" for development and acceleration within the Blast ecosystem, though specific investors were not disclosed.
Bean said the proposed total supply of the Bean memecoin will be 1 billion tokens. 40% of the tokens will be allocated to its treasury, 50% to Azuki DAO members, and 10% to Azuki NFT creator Zagabond. Minting will only be available to Azuki NFT holders, who must mint within 24 hours after token launch or face "token destruction."
