TechFlow reports that Blast, a new L2 network launched by Pacman, founder of Blur, has posted on X platform discussing multi-signature security issues.
He pointed out that security involves smart contracts, browsers, and physical aspects. Immutable smart contracts are generally considered more secure but may pose greater risks in complex protocols.
For upgradable smart contracts, the upgrade mechanism is crucial. Upgradable contracts with time locks may contain vulnerabilities that reduce security.
Blast emphasized the effectiveness of multi-signatures and plans to update one of its multi-sig addresses within a week to enhance security.
Previously, developers raised potential risks regarding Blast's contract, but Blast stated it would take measures to prevent them and has received backing from several well-known institutions.
Cosine, founder of SlowMist, noted that Blast's contract is indeed upgradable, controlled by a 3/5 multi-sig, which carries some potential risks, though the project has institutional support.
