TechFlow news, according to The Block, the SEC has delayed its decision on Hashdex/Nasdaq's spot and futures Ethereum ETF applications.
The SEC stated it needs additional time to act on the proposed rule change and said it will decide by January 1, 2024, whether to approve, disapprove, or "institute proceedings to determine whether to disapprove" the application.
Nasdaq submitted an application to the SEC in September this year to list the Hashdex Ethereum ETF, which would hold spot Ethereum, Ethereum futures contracts, and cash, rather than holding 100% spot Ethereum.
This Thursday, the SEC also postponed its decision on Hashdex's application to hold spot Bitcoin within a Bitcoin futures ETF.
