TechFlow reported, according to Forbes, German Federal Parliament member Joana Cotar announced her support for recognizing Bitcoin as legal tender in Germany and revealed plans to lead a "preliminary review" aimed at establishing a legal framework to formally acknowledge Bitcoin's status as legal currency.
She also emphasized the importance of creating a balanced regulatory environment, "which includes ensuring legal certainty for companies and citizens, addressing potential risks such as money laundering, tax evasion, and other illegal activities commonly associated with Bitcoin use, while not stifling Bitcoin's innovative and freedom-enhancing aspects."
