TechFlow reports that ENS developer nick.eth has released an open letter accusing competitor Unstoppable Domains (UD) of stealing its innovations by filing a patent based on ENS technology, and revealed that UD continues to pursue additional patents.
He demands that UD provide legal assurances through an unconditional and irrevocable commitment not to assert patents. If no agreement can be reached, ENS stated it is prepared to challenge UD's patents.
In response, Unstoppable Domains (UD) founder Matthew Gould called ENS's request "unnecessary" and invited Nick to join the Web3 Domain Alliance.
In the meantime, ENS open-sourced the EVM Gateway yesterday.
