TechFlow news: The opBNB Fermat hard fork is scheduled to activate on November 28, 2023 at 14:00, enabling interoperability between opBNB and BNB Greenfield by adding new precompiled contracts that support BLS signature verification and cometBFT light client validation.
In addition, Fermat will stabilize the L1 gas price for L1 data costs of opBNB Layer 2 transactions.
Community developers should upgrade to opNode v0.2.2 and opGeth v0.2.1 prior to the hard fork to ensure node compatibility and smooth operation after the fork.
