TechFlow news, according to data from CoinGecko, Binance remained the largest centralized cryptocurrency exchange in September by spot trading volume, capturing 43.9% of the market share.
Although Binance's spot trading volume declined to $132.5 billion in Q3 2023, it still maintained its leading position. This represented a 30.3% drop compared to $190 billion in August 2023. Binance reached its highest monthly trading volume of the year in March 2023 at $559.8 billion.
The second-largest centralized exchange was Upbit, with a market share of 11.5% and a spot trading volume of $34.8 billion in September, up 17.7% from $29.5 billion in August 2023.
HTX ranked third, with a market share of 7.8% and a trading volume of $23.6 billion in September.
All exchanges ranked fourth through tenth held less than 7% market share each, including Coinbase (6.8%), Bybit (6.7%), and OKX (6.0%).
