TechFlow News — Hart Lambur, founder of cross-chain bridge protocol Across Protocol, posted a tweet criticizing LayerZero's decision to use the centralized Google oracle.
He stated that LayerZero markets its service as decentralized, yet relies on a centralized oracle. Furthermore, LayerZero deployed a wstETH bridge without authorization and promoted it as an official, decentralized deployment—sparking dissatisfaction among members of the Lido community.
Lambur pointed out that LayerZero appears to prioritize product marketing over engaging in meaningful discussions about technical details and underlying considerations, which could have negative implications for the broader industry.
