TechFlow reports, according to PeckShield monitoring, the attacker of the Fantom Foundation-related wallet has swapped approximately 4,390 ETH for about 8 million DAI. On October 17, a wallet labeled as "Fantom Foundation" was hacked, resulting in the theft of tokens worth around $7 million (approximately 4,500 ETH).
In response, the Fantom Foundation stated on X that a limited number of Fantom wallets were previously compromised, including about $550,000 worth of funds belonging to the Fantom Foundation. The vast majority of the Foundation's funds (over 99%) remain unaffected and secure.
Additionally, a personal wallet belonging to a Fantom employee was impacted. Some of the affected wallets had previously been labeled as "Foundation wallets," but were later reassigned to a Fantom employee. This incident is now considered a targeted attack against an individual. Officials are currently tracking and investigating the funds lost by the employee.
