TechFlow reported, according to Bitcoin.com, that Vibra, a cryptocurrency trading app focused on Africa, has been shut down in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria. Vincent Li, co-founder of African Blockchain Labs, the company behind Vibra, insisted the measure only affects users in Nigeria and that the suspension is temporary.
However, messages from Vibra's Telegram channel suggest otherwise. According to a report by Techcabal on October 18, current and former employees revealed that the app has ceased operations across all African markets. These employees also stated they have been asked to resign or face termination. Another former employee mentioned that Vibra had not yet generated sufficient revenue.
