TechFlow News, according to Reuters, Ferrari's marketing and commercial chief said the company has started accepting cryptocurrency payments in the U.S. market and will later expand the program to Europe to meet the demands of its affluent customers.
Ferrari has chosen BitPay as its initial partner, allowing payments in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and stablecoins like USDC, with no additional fees.
Ferrari’s order backlog is already full through 2025, but the company aims to test new markets through cryptocurrency payments. Ferrari plans to extend cryptocurrency payment options to Europe and other regions legally in the first quarter of next year.
Enrico Galliera, Ferrari’s Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, told Reuters that cryptocurrencies have made efforts to reduce their carbon footprint by introducing new software and increasing the use of renewable energy.
