TechFlow, the U.S. added 336,000 nonfarm jobs in September, seasonally adjusted, significantly surpassing the market expectation of 170,000 and marking the largest increase since January 2023.
The unemployment rate for September came in at 3.8%, slightly higher than the expected 3.7% and unchanged from the previous month.
In addition, the previously reported number of new nonfarm jobs in July was revised upward from 157,000 to 236,000, while the figure for August was revised from 187,000 to 227,000. After revisions, the combined job gains for July and August are now 119,000 higher than initially reported.
