TechFlow news — On September 28, ConsenSys' Layer 2 network Linea launched a soulbound token called Voyage XP, designed to uniformly measure and recognize contributions to the Linea ecosystem. Voyage XP is a non-transferable soulbound token (SBT) representing each community member's contribution to ecosystem development, covering users, startups, DApps, and Linea team members. By default, Voyage XP is visible in MetaMask, cannot be transferred, and cannot be bridged to other networks; it is tied to the user's address.
Additionally, holding Voyage XP will grant holders access to certain privileges, such as official community roles and exclusive Linea merchandise. Linea plans to deploy Voyage XP during the upcoming event "Linea Voyage: DeFi," and will also issue it retroactively for "Voyage: Testnet to Mainnet" and the ongoing "Linea Voyage: Entertainment Festival." The retroactive distribution will combine cryptographic proof related to these commitments—such as whitelists, Voyage NFTs, or Discord roles earned through these activations. However, the retroactive issuance of Voyage XP will take some time, and further updates regarding the distribution process will be shared soon.
