TechFlow news — According to CoinDesk, a filing submitted Wednesday to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York shows that Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon has asked the federal court to dismiss the SEC's request to depose him in the United States over the collapse of Terra and Luna.
The filing indicates that Do Kwon’s lawyers are opposing any attempt to compel him to provide testimony to U.S. regulators. The lawyers argued it is “impossible” to bring Do Kwon to the United States, as he remains indefinitely detained in Montenegro, and that he cannot provide written testimony to the SEC either, as doing so would violate his due process rights under U.S. law.
It was reported that last week the SEC requested the court’s permission to depose Kwon on the Terra/Luna collapse before the pre-trial deadline of October 13.
