TechFlow news — Paradigm, a crypto venture capital firm, announced the launch of its Policy Lab, aimed at becoming a hub for academics, policy experts, lawyers, and technologists. In a blog post, Policy Lab co-leads Rodrigo Seira and Brendan Malone stated that over the past year, Paradigm has established itself as a policy leader in the crypto space, participating in various crypto-related activities including legal defense, engagements with policymakers, and policy-focused research.
The Policy Lab team will focus on critical policy issues facing cryptocurrency and other frontier technologies, conducting cutting-edge research, analysis, and advocacy. As part of its launch initiative, Paradigm Policy Lab has announced its first two academic fellows: Primavera De Filippi from Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center and Agostino Capponi from Columbia University. They will study "regulatory equivalence," a term describing "the comparability between legal and technical constraint systems, and how identical policy outcomes can be achieved through either regulatory or technical architectures."
