TechFlow reported, citing Kitco, that Microsoft accidentally leaked plans to integrate cryptocurrency wallets into Xbox gaming consoles. The documents also included an Xbox roadmap from May 2022, detailing plans to incorporate cryptocurrency wallets into the next version of the console.
Phil Spencer, CEO of Xbox, stated on September 20 via the X platform that these plans were "disclosed unintentionally," noting that many of the documents were over a year old and that the plans had since evolved. He added that the company would share its actual plans when ready.
