TechFlow reported on September 24 that Definalist posted on X, stating that according to multiple community users' reports, a user deposited counterfeit APT tokens called ClaimAPTGift into Upbit, and the deposit was successfully processed by Upbit's system.
Some other users reported that their APT balances increased without any action on their part. Users who sold the fake APT tokens have received phone calls from customer service demanding they return the funds.
