TechFlow news: Hankook Investment & Securities, a subsidiary of Korean Financial Holding Company, has completed the construction of the industry's first infrastructure for issuing tokenized securities (ST). The company announced that its tokenized securities advisory firm, "Hankook Investment ST Friends," has developed full infrastructure covering all processes required for issuance and settlement of tokenized securities, and has successfully completed a pilot issuance.
Tokenized securities are digital securities issued using distributed ledger technology. Rights to physical assets such as real estate, ships, aircraft, and artworks can be easily securitized and converted into 'security-type digital assets,' enabling fractional investment.
