TechFlow reports that Worldcoin project developers have released an update bundling transactions, significantly improving scalability and cost-efficiency for World App, the Worldcoin ecosystem wallet.
This update combines several technologies such as batching and compression to eliminate much of the L1 gas fee overhead. Overall, Worldcoin has drastically reduced its fee expenditures (the project subsidizes gas fees for all World App users) and cut the load on Optimism by two-thirds. Since the update's release, World App has achieved record-breaking daily transaction volumes exceeding 500,000 transactions.
