TechFlow news: X user Salience posted a tweet regarding issues and restrictions affecting his FriendTech account.
Salience mentioned that last week he lost access to all his FriendTech chats. He previously ran an aggregation service, which may be related. He learned that several other aggregation services heavily relied on his Discord, and the sudden shutdown of his service caused some of these platforms to cease operations.
He noted that Yield Bouncer launched Friendbook, aiming to make chat services universally and freely accessible—potentially using a model similar to his aggregation service. Initially, he attempted to block this development, but battling mirrored content proved complex and diverted his focus from improving the Discord experience. Given the circumstances, he decided to collaborate with Yield Bouncer despite misaligned visions. He proposed introducing message delays as a balancing measure while Yield Bouncer continued developing their concept. However, the next day, he found himself banned from chat functionality.
He hopes this update provides Key holders and the community with clarity on the current situation.
Finally, he expressed gratitude to everyone and apologized to the FriendTech team and community for any inconvenience or disruption caused.
