TechFlow news, according to Cointelegraph, Ye Zhang, co-founder of Ethereum Layer 2 solution Scroll, said at the Token2049 event that the new zkEVM is expected to launch within weeks, having undergone extensive testing and code audits. Scroll will go live after some final tests, with major projects such as Uniswap and Aave ready to deploy on Scroll. Although the initial setup may involve some centralized elements, such as sequencers, the roadmap will further decentralize over time.
Zhang stated that the project is seen as an "idealistic" one, as the team has been working on it primarily out of passion and dedication to the space, while also sharing a common vision of scaling Ethereum and preserving its decentralization principles. The project's goal goes beyond solving computational challenges—it aligns with broader human interests.
