TechFlow reports that cryptocurrency exchange Remitano experienced a large-scale withdrawal on September 14 at noon Eastern Time, with $2.7 million worth of cryptocurrency extracted through suspicious transactions. Some blockchain analysts suggest the exchange may have been hacked.
Blockchain analytics platform Cyvers has issued an alert to the crypto community regarding the suspected illicit activity. Tether subsequently froze one of the attacker's addresses to prevent the cashing out of USDT, thereby halting the further transfer of $1.4 million worth of stolen funds.
