TechFlow news — Komainu, a cryptocurrency custody firm jointly established by Nomura Securities, Ledger, and CoinShares, announced that institutional credit network Hidden Road has joined its collateral management platform, Komainu Connect.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Komainu said Hidden Road is the first major broker-dealer to join the ecosystem, enabling clients to utilize digital assets in collateral scenarios while their assets remain securely and compliantly held under regulated custody.
Earlier, cryptocurrency exchange OKX also joined Komainu Connect in June.
"Hidden Road is a significant addition to our growing collateral management network and represents another piece of the puzzle in bringing this much-needed, institutional-grade product to the digital asset market," said Nicolas Bertrand, CEO of Komainu.
Komainu has been expanding internationally and recently obtained an operating license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), allowing it to offer a full suite of custody services to clients in the United Arab Emirates.
