TechFlow reports that Manta Network has announced the launch of the Manta Pacific Alpha mainnet, enabling interaction now with a modular EVM L2 built for ZK-powered applications.
The ecosystem leverages Optimism's OP stack and uses Celestia for data availability (DA), specifically designed for zk applications.
Unlike other rollup solutions, Manta Pacific employs a method called "Universal Circuits," which enables zk functionality easily and with minimal code. This allows developers to create private payment solutions for DeFi platforms and verify user identities in on-chain social applications.
By separating the DA layer from execution and settlement layers, the network reduces on-chain transaction gas fees. Since its testnet launch, over 200,000 wallets have been created and more than 3 million transactions processed.
