TechFlow news: Connext has released a post-incident analysis regarding its airdrop distribution issues, stating that the attacker conducted a DDoS attack on Tokensoft's API, causing the claim database and user interface to go offline.
During the attack, 253 wallets unrelated to Connext successfully claimed a total of 274,956 NEXT tokens, accounting for 0.26% of the entire airdrop. These tokens were sold for approximately 40,000 USDT before regular users could claim theirs. However, Connext itself did not suffer any losses or damages.
Following the end of the DDoS attack, the airdrop claiming process has resumed normally. To date, over 20,000 users have successfully claimed a total of 28,884,594 NEXT tokens across four blockchains.
