TechFlow reported, citing Mining Magazine, that bitcoin mining orders may have accelerated Huawei's development of its new Kirin chip used in the Mate 60 Pro smartphone.
This process involves technology from Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) and has benefited from bitcoin miners' orders, boosting SMIC's 7-nanometer production capacity.
These orders have helped resolve technical issues and increase output, potentially accelerating Huawei's new chip development and reducing China's reliance on Western chip technology.
