TechFlow news — according to an official blog post, USDC is now live on Base, enabling developers and users to access it without the need for bridging. Circle Accounts and the Circle API now fully support USDC on Base, making it easier to access USDC liquidity and benefit from Base's growing network.
Previously, on August 30, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire announced on social media that Circle’s dollar-pegged stablecoin USDC would launch on the Base network the following week. The new version will replace USDbC, which most users currently rely on, ultimately eliminating the need for the bridged USDbC variant.
