TechFlow news: Japanese electronics giant Casio is expanding its sporty G-Shock watch brand into the virtual universe with Virtual G-Shock, a blockchain-based "community co-creation" initiative developed in collaboration with Polygon Labs.
The first step on the roadmap involves collecting 15,000 free-mint G-Shock Creator Pass NFTs, granting holders access to the program’s newly launched Discord channel and participation in co-creation contests to design variant versions of the pass, with winners decided by community voting.
Casio will begin rolling out the NFTs via its official website this month, offering users with a Casio ID an initial claiming window from September 23 to 26, followed by the minting period from September 26 to 29.
