Korean game studio NPIXEL has disbanded its Meta headquarters, which was responsible for developing and operating blockchain games and Web3 new ventures. Previously, this division partnered with Aptos to build the Web3 platform Metapixel and has been developing the Web3 game "Gran Saga: Unlimited" based on NPIXEL's IP through this platform. The game is scheduled for release in January next year but is now expected to face difficulties moving forward.
The company's decision to disband the Meta headquarters stems from reasons including cost-saving measures, internal team conflicts, and management disagreements. However, an NPIXEL spokesperson stated, "The head of the department plans to resign for personal reasons, and the Meta headquarters is also planning a restructuring, though no concrete decisions have been made yet."
