TechFlow news, according to on-chain analyst Yujin's monitoring, a whale that withdrew 52,000 ETH at an average price of $110 from Kraken between December 2018 and January 2019—possibly having bought the bottom of ETH—has, after two years of dormancy, transferred 12,087 ETH ($20.61 million) into Binance in two transactions 11 hours ago. So far, all 52,000 ETH held by this whale have been moved to centralized exchanges (CEX):
June 2019: 27,198 ETH transferred to Bitstamp, average price $257;
July 2019–August 2021: 12,715 ETH transferred to Kraken, average price $1,911;
August 2023: 12,087 ETH transferred to Binance, average price $1,705;
The whale acquired ETH at an average cost of $110 and sold at an average price of $998, potentially realizing profits of $46.15 million (+804%).
