TechFlow news — According to Reuters, SBF's legal team has filed documents appealing to the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals over the decision to detain him before trial. SBF’s lawyers argued that the 31-year-old former billionaire was merely exercising his First Amendment rights by sharing Caroline Ellison’s private journal with a New York Times reporter. They stated that he shared the journal to defend his reputation, not to intimidate her.

His legal team has repeatedly contended that the detention interferes with his ability to prepare for trial, which they assert is a constitutional right.
