TechFlow reports that Carbonbase, a provider of climate technology and carbon reduction solutions, has announced a significant collaboration with the HBAR Foundation and ImpactX to launch Asia's first digital-native Global Carbon Registry (GCR) registry.
The GCR aims to provide project developers, auditors, and buyers with a digital experience for registering, verifying, and purchasing high-integrity, data-driven carbon credits. Developed on the Hedera Hashgraph network, the GCR offers cost-effective, transparent, and accessible solutions for carbon reduction projects to obtain verified credits. This initiative enables recognition for small and medium-sized developers while providing corporate buyers with enhanced information and data reporting.
This digital-native registry introduces an innovative framework that streamlines the accurate measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) of carbon credits. This advancement is reshaping the carbon market, encouraging broader participation from businesses, industries, and governments in collective efforts to combat climate change.
