TechFlow news: The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced a new "Fintech Promotion Initiative," planning to roll out a series of measures and activities over the next 12 months. The initiative will focus on promoting five key fintech areas—wealthtech, insurtech, green tech, and applications of artificial intelligence and distributed ledger technology (DLT). Actions include launching a "Fintech Information Platform" and regularly organizing more fintech showcase events and roundtable discussions. HKMA Deputy Chief Executive阮国恒 (Ngan Kwok-hang) stated that fintech holds significant potential in addressing current challenges and supporting banks in facilitating future financial and economic development. He expressed hope that through this systematic initiative, a more comprehensive advancement of fintech can be achieved.
