TechFlow news, according to DL News, Alex, former trustee of the dYdX grant program and former member of dYdX DAO, has been accused of abusing his position by awarding a $20,000 grant to Cryptohondos last December without disclosing his ownership interest in the crypto media project. Alex denies any wrongdoing and says he had nothing to hide about his relationship with Cryptohondos, but he resigned from his role as dYdX grant trustee in mid-August.
Some DAO members have criticized Alex's actions and accused him of breaching trust, while others consider it a minor issue and expressed regret over the negative reactions from certain community members. The controversy has triggered a restructuring of the dYdX DAO grant program. These changes are included in an existing proposal for extending the grants. dYdX DAO is currently voting on this extension, which includes appointing a new group of trustees and executors. The vote will conclude on August 27 and has so far received nearly unanimous approval from participants.
