TechFlow reported, according to Decrypt, Marathon Digital CEO Fred Thiel emphasized in an interview the critical importance of verifying the authenticity of published data, stating that blockchain technology is an unparalleled choice due to its fully decentralized nature.
He noted that blockchains cannot be controlled or manipulated by central authorities or governments, thereby eliminating censorship. Thiel said this makes the Bitcoin blockchain a "perfect place to store data."
"We believe over time you'll see a very tight coupling between blockchain technology and artificial intelligence," Thiel said.
Earlier this year, Marathon invested in Auradine, a startup focused on privacy-centric blockchain and artificial intelligence. Thiel, who serves on Auradine's board, described the company as a technology firm concentrating on blockchain, AI, and edge computing.
