TechFlow news: NFT marketplace OpenSea announced on Twitter that it will discontinue support for creating new NFT listings or conducting transactions on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC). OpenSea stated that the cost of continuing BSC support exceeds its impact. However, users can still view and transfer existing BSC-based NFTs on the OpenSea platform.
The announcement emphasized that OpenSea remains committed to a multi-chain future. Recently, it added support for Layer 2 networks such as Base and Zora. OpenSea believes this decision will help better allocate resources to keep pace with rapid innovation in the NFT ecosystem.
