TechFlow reports that MakerDAO founder Rune Christensen has proposed a Maker governance proposal to formally establish the Spark Protocol-Aave revenue sharing system as a Maker ecosystem protocol, and to address its flaws to align with intended behavior and expectations.
Once approved, payments to the Aave community will commence immediately and must maintain a minimum payment level; otherwise, the 2-year revenue sharing period will be paused and the countdown halted until the minimum payment level is met again.
