TechFlow reported on August 13 that John Reed Stark, former head of internet enforcement at the SEC, warned that regulatory crackdowns on crypto will never end. He stated that cryptocurrency exchanges like Binance and Coinbase are merely "playing a short-term game of regulatory arbitrage," allowing an unregulated, post-apocalyptic-like market to rapidly grow. Therefore, the SEC's enforcement sweeps in crypto will never cease. Stark founded the SEC's Office of Internet Enforcement and served as its director for 11 years.
