TechFlow news — Bankless co-founder Ryan Sean Adams tweeted that PayPal, with 430 million active accounts, has launched a stablecoin on Ethereum. Ethereum is becoming the monetary layer of the internet.
PayPal wouldn't take such a step without regulatory assurances. Clearly, the U.S. government wants stablecoins to play a role.
I think people may be underestimating the possibility that the U.S. government could favor policies promoting stablecoins for global export. At the very least, they will support centralized stablecoins.
When they adopt cryptographic protocols, they will embrace cryptographic value.
