TechFlow news, Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino said the payment giant PayPal's launch of its stablecoin PYUSD will not impact USDT in any way.
He explained this is because PayPal's stablecoin PYUSD is launched in the United States, while Tether (USDT) does not offer services in the U.S.
When asked whether PYUSD might be launched in international markets, Ardoino said it would be positive for the entire crypto industry. Additionally, Ardoino believes another way PYUSD's launch could benefit USDT is by reducing competition for Tether. "This could mean our main competition in the U.S. further declines," Ardoino said.
