TechFlow news, according to Jinshi Data, the U.S. added 187,000 nonfarm jobs in July on a seasonally adjusted basis, below the market expectation of 200,000 and marking the smallest increase since December 2020. The unemployment rate in July was 3.5%, compared to the previous value of 3.60% and an expected rate of 3.60%.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics stated that the May nonfarm payroll gain was revised down from 306,000 to 281,000, while the June figure was revised down from 209,000 to 185,000. After revisions, the combined job gains for May and June are now 49,000 lower than previously reported.
