TechFlow reported, according to a judgment from the Singapore High Court, the court treated cryptocurrency as property while handling the Bybit case. Previously, Bybit filed a lawsuit with the Singapore court, accusing Ho Kai Xin of breaching her employment contract and abusing her authority by transferring over 4.2 million USDT to addresses she owned and controlled, as well as transferring a certain amount of fiat currency into her personal bank account.
Judge Philip Jeyaretnam stated that USDT can be held as trust property, and individuals holding crypto assets hold intangible property rights recognized under common law, which therefore can be enforceable in court.
