TechFlow news: Meta will partner with Microsoft to launch the next-generation open-source large language model Llama 2, which will be freely available for both research and commercial use. It will run on Microsoft's Windows operating system and cloud computing platform Azure.
Meta said it is now ready to open-source the next version of Llama 2 for free use in research and commercial applications. Starting today, Llama 2 is available in the Azure AI Model Catalog. Developers using Microsoft Azure can leverage it for building applications and utilize its cloud-native tools for content filtering and security features; it has also been optimized for running on Windows.
