TechFlow news, on July 17, Zhou Yajin, Founder & CEO of BlockSec, was invited to speak at the DeFi Security Summit held in Paris, France, delivering a presentation titled "Securing Web3 Through Proactive Threat Prevention." During the session, Professor Zhou introduced how BlockSec's proactive defense system, Phalcon Block, operates and explained the fundamental principles behind its core attack interception technology.
Professor Zhou emphasized that attack mitigation involves far more than just frontrunning. In several past successful intervention cases, BlockSec employed various methods to ultimately safeguard users' assets.
These cases sparked active discussions onsite. When questioned about potential legal risks, Professor Zhou clarified that the aforementioned attack interceptions are triggered only after an attacker’s transaction has already occurred—acting as a self-defense mechanism for protocols when attacks are already underway. In future versions of the Phalcon Block product, BlockSec will conduct monitoring and asset protection activities only with authorization from project teams, which will further enhance the accuracy of the monitoring system and enable faster responses to threats, thereby strengthening asset security.
