TechFlow reports, John Deaton, the attorney supporting XRP, recently made statements regarding the ongoing legal battle between Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Deaton believes that if Ripple loses to the SEC, it might not receive any funds for several years—and only in the event that Ripple's appeals fail.
However, he also believes that if the Supreme Court takes up the appeal (which he thinks they will do if Congress has not acted by then), Ripple will win easily. Deaton argues that if the SEC wins, Ripple will appeal, and the current situation will persist for the next 2–5 years.
