TechFlow News — As Bitcoin prices surged and BRC-20 tokens gained popularity, Bitcoin miners earned $184 million in transaction fees during the second quarter, surpassing their total fee income for the entire year of 2022.
According to a July 5 report by cryptocurrency analytics platform Coin Metrics, this figure represents a more than 270% increase compared to the first quarter of 2023, marking the first quarter since Q2 2021 in which fees exceeded $100 million. However, it's worth noting that transaction fees accounted for only 7.7% of miners' total revenue of $2.4 billion this quarter.
